As well as face to face consultations, we provide services via TeleHealth.

The recommended fee at 1st July 2019 for a standard one hour psychological consultation is $254.00. This is set by the Australian Psychological Society.

At Mater Hill Psychology Services, a standard one hour consultation is $190.00.

Clients on Mental Health Care Plans (see Medicare Rebates) will be reimbursed $87.45, leaving you $102.55 out of pocket. If you have private health insurance, you could be eligible for a rebate depending on your level of cover. Please contact your private health insurance provider for more details.

Other counselling fees apply to non-standard consultations. These include group consultations, telephone consultations, case conferences, intelligence testing, psychological assessment, report preparation, and attendance at court or legal briefings.

Payment is required on the day of consultation.

We accept payment by EFTPOS, Cash, Mastercard, VISA and Amex.

On 1 November 2006, the Australian Government introduced new Medicare items for psychological treatment by registered psychologists.

This service provides considerable assistance to people living with mental health problems. It allows them greater access to psychologists and providing more affordable mental healthcare.

Under the new Medicare scheme, all registered psychologists who are endorsed by Medicare Australia can provide treatment for mental health problems.

You must be referred by your GP, your Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. Your GP will need to complete a detailed mental health assessment and prepare a Mental Health Care Plan before referring you to a psychologist. You should book a longer session with your GP to enable time for this.

You will not be charged a fee for cancelling a scheduled appointment, provided you give at least 2 hours notice.

You will be charged 100% of your ordinary fee if you do not show up to a scheduled appointment without notifying the clinic.
